Four Patriots and Four Giants Named to Pro Bowl

The New England Patriots (12-2) and New York Giants (10-4) have both had great seasons to this point and are both positioned for a run at Super Bowl.

And on Tuesday night, the teams were rewarded with four selections each to the playoffs, and it could have been more:

The Patriots will be sending quarterback Tom Brady, safety Devin McCourty, linebacker Dont’a Hightower, and special teams standout Matthew Slater.

LeGarrette Blount (>1000 yards rushing and 15 TDs) didn’t make the cut for New England while Malcolm Butler, who has tied for the most passes defended/interceptions in the league, didn’t make the cut either.

For the G-Men, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was an obvious choice as was defensive back Janoris Jenkins. Also headed to Orlando are safety Landon Collins and special teamer Dwyane Harris.

Remember, the Pro Bowl is played the week before the Super Bowl, so if either of these teams are in Super Bowl 51, you won’t be seeing them at the Pro Bowl.
