I know the 49ers aren’t good (1-9 now) but after a tough-loss to the Seahawks last weekend, the Patriots responded in a big way by pounding the worst team in the NFC with a 30-17 win on Sunday.

The Pats started off relatively slow, allowing the 49ers to hang around for a while in the first half before throttling them in the second.
Tom Brady threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns in the win while LeGarrette Blount, Dion Lewis, Julian Edelman and Brady combined for 171 yards rushing against the league’s worst rushing defense.
The return of Lewis is a nice luxury for Brady, who now has another weapon to hand off to or throw to out of the backfield. Lewis had eight touches in his first appearance of the season.
Playing without Rob Gronkowski, the Pats pass offense didn’t take a hit as Julian Edelman caught eight passes, James White caught six and Malcolm Mitchell had four catches for 98 yards and a score.
The Pats defense also recorded five sacks. The team is 8-2 and will take on the Jets next week.
