Yesterday we reported that Patriots running back was still not at practice, but today, better news!

Lewis missed most of last season after tearing his ACL against the Redskins and was put on the PUP list at the beginning of the season, but he was put on the list that could allow him to return this season.
Lewis burst on to the scene last season as one of Tom Brady’s favorite weapons in the pass game but he also contributed in the run game. He had multiple touchdowns in both roles a year ago.
So far this year, James White has done a good job in Lewis’ absence, especially since Brady’s return from his four-game suspension. White had a two-touchdown game just a few weeks ago.
If Lewis comes back and is healthy, the best offense in the AFC will just continue to get better.
