Patriots running back Sony Michel is recovering from a surgical procedure on his foot, per ESPNs Mike Reiss. He had the surgery in May.

Reiss that the procedure was designed as “maintenance” to help alleviate discomfort that Michel was feeling in his foot. He’s dealt with injuries throughout his Patriots tenure, but has only missed three games in his two-year career so far.
The first-round pick out of Georgia in 2018 has had undergone a knee scope, had fluid drained from his knee and twisted his knee.
Reiss reports that Michel could start training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform List.
He led the Patriots in rushing each of the last two years at more than 900 yards per season. The team has James White, Branden Bolden, Rex Burkhead, Damien Harris and JJ Taylor on the roster right now.
