Per a major league source, the #RedSox are planning to name bench coach Ron Roenicke as manager but are waiting for MLB to conclude its investigation into the 2018 team before making an announcement.

The Boston Red Sox are reportedly expected to promote either Ron Roenicke or Carlos Febles to their managerial position, per reports.
The #RedSox's tumultuous winter should soon have clarity: They're expected to stay within and promote bench coach Ron Roenicke or third base coach Carlos Febles to be their manager in 2020; #MLB's investigation will be fully completed; and the Betts/Price deal will be finalized.

Roenicke and Febles both served under Alex Cora’s staff before Cora was let go and were on the staff that helped Boston win the World Series in 2018. Roenicke, 63, managed the Brewers previously and Febles enjoyed a six-year career with the Royals. He’s coached in the Boston system since 2007.
