The Boston Celtics lost yesterday to the Denver Nuggets to fall to 6-4 on the season. The C’s let an 18-point lead evaporate in this one, in part, because of the play of Jamal Murray. The Nuggets guard had 48 points in the win.
With the clock running out to zero, Murray fired up a three-pointer with no one around him in an effort to get to 50 points, something that Kyrie Irving too offense to.
Irving took the ball and threw it in the crowd in frustration after the game, and then had this to say:
Kyrie Irving admits he was bothered by Jamal Murray’s late shot for 50 (called it a “bullshit move”). But stressed he didn’t want to make a big deal of it and praised Murray’s performance overall. pic.twitter.com/avJyodr7dS
