Finally, in the age of cancellations, postponements and suspensions, there’s some good news for sports fans in our area: Hockey East and the University of Vermont plan to complete a full conference season in the 2020-21 year.
1/ Hearing that @hockey_east will announce tomorrow its intention to play its league season with all 11 members. Unlikely any team will begin play before mid-late Nov. and there may be as many as 30 league games. Focus will be on completing the league season above all else.

So, UVM can plan to lose non-conference games but also looks like it will try to play a full schedule with nearly all of those games being conference games. Connelly goes onto mention that there could be 24 and 30 game scenarios laid out. UVM usually begins play at the end of September or early October.
Vermont is coming off one of its worst seasons in school history last season, but optimism is high under first-year head coach Todd Woodcroft, who comes to UVM from an NHL coaching job with the Winnipeg Jets.
Woodcroft will join ‘The Huddle’ on Thursday at a TBD time.
