After the Atlantic Sun Commissioner tweeted some pushback to the initial speculation on Thursday, the Highlanders will become the 10th team in the America East for most sports.
On the men’s basketball front, the team won just nine games a year ago but did win more than 20 two years ago.
The basketball conference schedule will likely need to go from 16 games to 18, which means two less out of league games for UVM.
