After talking with Mike Ginnitti of Spotrac.com on Wednesday, ‘The Huddle’ discusses the best course of action for Gordon Hayward in the offseason.
He has a $34 million player option for this offseason.
1) He could opt-in and simply be traded by the Celtics.
2) He could be a part of a sign-and-trade, where he gets more money and long-term security while going to a team that could utilize him more as a focal point.
3) He could just play at $34 million and then test free agency.
4) He could opt-out of his Celtics deal and test free agency right now.
5) He could opt-out of his deal and then sign a longer, new deal with the Celtics.
