25 Years Ago Today: Pedro Throws Nine Perfect Innings (VIDEO)

On June 3rd, 1995, former Red Sox legend Pedro Martinez became the second pitcher ever to take a perfect game into extra innings by throwing nine perfect innings against the Padres.

Martinez and Joey Hamilton dueled to a 0-0 tie through nine innings before the Expos won by scoring in the top of the 10th.

Though Martinez lost his perfect game in the bottom of the 10th, he still got the win. Martinez is a member of the Hall of Fame after pitching for five teams (Dodgers, Expos, Red Sox, Mets and Phillies) and winning three Cy Young Awards.
