Smith averaged 14.2 ppg last year for the Catamounts and figures to take over as the team leader in 2020-21 in light of Anthony Lamb’s graduation. He’s one of the top three-point shooters in the league but also is a physical guard who will help try to keep Vermont at the top of the America East Conference.
As a result of the Coronavirus, pre-draft workouts had been canceled at the draft has been moved back as well, making it a very uncertain time for draft prospects like Smith.
