After speculation last week that Andy Dalton was going to end up playing for the Patriots, he’s signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
Former Bengals’ QB Andy Dalton is signing a one-year deal worth up to $7 million that includes $3 million guaranteed with the Dallas Cowboys, source tells ESPN.
Dalton is returning to Texas.

Dalton, who played his college ball at TCU, already has a home near Dallas. He played the last nine years for the Bengals, helped them make the playoffs five times. He started four playoff games for the Bengals but was 0-4.
He certainly gives the Bengals a good backup option, but some people take the signing as a sign that the team isn’t fully invested in Dak Prescott, who currently only has the franchise tag.
