As the Boston Celtics take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight (7:30, 960 The Zone), they’ll do so without star guard Kemba Walker, who is still battling knee issues.
Walker played in the All-Star Game but did miss a few games earlier in the month with the knee soreness, and now we have this:
Not great news on Kemba. Synvisc is used for mild to mod arthritis. It has less of the negative side effects associated with steroid injection but is also much less effective at treating acute swelling. Expect more than one game. Hoping he has an unusually great response though. https://t.co/Drx1H72Poa

In his first year in Boston, Walker is averaging 21.8 ppg and 5.0 assists.
The Celtics are 38-16 and in third place in the East.
