Mike McCarthy to Become HC of Cowboys

Former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is becoming the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, per reports from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

McCarthy sat out a year after being fired in Green Bay at the end of the 2018 season but was one of the hottest candidates on the market this offseason. He had previously interviewed with the New York Giants for their vacancy.

McCarthy will take over a team that has definite offensive weapons in Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper — and they have the opportunity to re-sign Dak Prescott, who had a great year in leading the No. 1 offense in the NFL.

McCarthy previously won the Super Bowl with Green Bay in 2011 (2010 season).
