Kimbrel Nets 40th Save as Sox Win 101st Game (VIDEO)

The Boston Red Sox swept the Toronto Blue Jays with a 4-3 win on Thursday night at Fenway Park. The Sox took a late lead in the eighth inning when Yangervis Solarte mishandled an infield pop-up, allowing the go-ahead run to score.

Craig Kimbrel shut the door on the win for his 40th save of the year, which is second in the American League behind only Edwin Diaz of Seattle (54).

JD Martinez hit his 41st home run of the year in the win, giving him sole possession of the top spot in the AL as well. He now has 122 RBI, also the tops in the American League.
