The Boston Red Sox acquired Steve Pearce, Nathan Eovaldi and Ian Kinsler in moves around the trade deadline. Former Major League GM Jim Bowden gave the team a “B” grade in the Athletic for the teams work, but our own Brady Farkas says that’s not fair. He says the team deserved higher.
The team acquired a 1B/DH who can mash left-handed pitching, they acquired a fourth starter than can serve as a bullpen arm in the playoffs and also acquired a 2B that allows the team flexibility on defense and gives them some power.
