The win gave the B’s a 15-9-4 record and keeps them in third place in the NHL’s Atlantic Division, behind Tampa Bay and Toronto.
The Bruins were fortunate to even be in a position to force overtime as David Pastrnak scored late with the goalie pulled to tie the game at 2-2.
Boston plays the Rangers on Saturday night.
