Sterling Shepard left Giants training camp yesterday with an apparent ankle injury, but the team appears to have avoided catastrophic injury as reports indicate it’s a lower ankle sprain only.
But that said, how big an impact does Shepard have on the 2017 Giants and what would an injury to him mean to the team? Well, Shepard led the NFL with eight receiving touchdowns out of the slot a year ago and is counted on to be another big part of the offense this year.
An injury to him would put even more reliance on veteran Brandon Marshall and rookie Evan Engram.
