The New England Patriots are the middle of a late-season stretch run that could see them end up as the front runner for the Super Bowl out of the AFC. The Patriots have had long-term sustained success thanks to their prolific quarterback/head coach combination of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
But let’s not discount the role of coordinators in the team’s success: From Romeo Crennel to Charlie Weiss to Bill O’Brien and others, including current offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and current defensive coordinator Matt Patricia.
But after this season, could the Pats lose both McDaniels and Patricia to head coaching jobs?

The NFL puts out a preliminary list each of year of possible head coaching candidates and Patricia is on the list — McDaniels isn’t, but McDaniels says he would love the opportunity to be a head coach after having previously served in that position with the Broncos.
As long as the team has Brady/Belichick, they will be OK, but losing one or both coordinators would certainly be a tough blow.
