Carlton Fisk delivered one of the most memorable home runs in baseball history while playing for the Red Sox in the 1975 World Series against the Cincinnati Reds. The famous home run that Fisk ‘waved fair’ lives on as one of the iconic scenes in baseball history.
We were joined by Fisk today on ‘The Huddle’ as he talked about his memories of that home run, his thoughts on the state of baseball today and if he likes the use of instant replay.
Fisk also shared some classic thoughts on former teammate and Vermont gubernatorial candidate, Bill “Spaceman” Lee — and he also shed some light on how he was born in Vermont but identifies New Hampshire as his homeland.
Finally, he talked about the decision to leave the Red Sox and head for Chicago and he also talked about wearing a Red Sox hat on his Hall of Fame plaque.
