The Boston Bruins lost their third consecutive game last night, falling to the Rangers by a score of 5-2. But even more discouraging than the loss could be the possible suspension of David Pastrnak, who has scored five goals already this season.
Boston’s David Pastrnak will have a hearing tomorrow for charging/ illegal check to the head on NY Rangers’ Dan Girardi.

As a local Boston website pointed out, it would be hard to suspend Pastrnak since he does not have a history of dirty play, but he left his feet on this hit and did hit Giardi in the head.
We will have to see what comes of today’s hearing with the NHL, but Pastrnak has been one of the lone bright spots on this Bruins team through the first week and a half of the season and they could ill-afford to lose him for significant time.
